Christmas carols, classical music and a ringing path to the Christmas market
On Sunday, December 13, 2026, the Theater Ansbach invites you to a family-friendly edition of the concert series "Classics for Everyone" at Behringershof. Under the title "A Serenade for Santa Claus," classical music education, communal singing, and a pre-Christmas atmosphere come together.
Discovering classics – open, approachable, and intergenerational
The series "Classics for Everyone" creates a relaxed access to classical music. Musicians from the Music School Ansbach and the Music Gymnasium Carolinum present music and invite the audience to engage in conversation. Questions about instruments, composers, eras, and stage performance are explicitly part of the concept.
Three Christmas carols for Santa Claus
At the heart of the afternoon are children and families. Together, three German Christmas carols will be practiced at Behringershof. The collective singing combines musical practice with a warm Advent atmosphere, making the concert an active concert experience for all generations.
From Behringershof to the Christmas market
After the musical practice, the group will go together to the Christmas market to sing a serenade for Santa Claus. The transition from the protected meeting place to the wintry old town gives the afternoon a special dramaturgy: From voices, anticipation, and the festive atmosphere of the audience, a lively joint performance arises.
Meeting point and registration
The meeting point for singing is directly at Behringershof at Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Platz 5 in Ansbach. Registration is required at konzerte@kultur-am-schloss.de. It begins at 3:00 PM, and the program is expected to end at 5:00 PM.
Conclusion: Advent music to participate in
This free concert connects classical music education, communal singing, and a memorable visit to the Ansbach Christmas market. Those who want to not only hear Advent but actively contribute to its sound will experience a special afternoon with the whole family.
